David Blaine – Benefit Cosmetics

I shot and edited these video messages with David Blaine for Benefit Cosmetics, for their live, multi-day product launch event in Las Vegas where Blaine performed.

The clips were played in both hotel rooms and on stage during the main event, as teasers for his appearance, and as transitional elements to introduce guests coming on stage.

These messages were supposed to be quick, informative, but also fun and on theme.  Benefit shared the mood, and I created a template that could work with the whole series of videos:   David’s kinetic card sprays, and a logo reveal that connected to Benefit Cosmetic’s playful retro branding, and the magic reveal theme of the event.

Shot in David’s studio in downtown New York City with a simple black backdrop and lighting kit I set up in the studio.
