Richemont – “Tapestry of the Future”

We shot the New York segment in this series of vignettes on Richemont’s various apprenticeship programs.

The challenge was capturing great looking footage that would pair well stylistically with the higher budget material being shot internationally by Richemont’s teams in Europe.

To bring to life the office-based apprenticeship story of our featured subjects, part of it was capturing the feeling of being and working in New York City, and the daily experience of moving through the towering architecture in midtown.

We shot them conferencing near scenic windows, did some run and gun walking shots in the Olympic building lobby, and then headed outside to one of Richemont’s treasured maisons, the Cartier flagship store around the corner on 5th avenue. The gently falling snow gave a nice cinematic texture to it all that I think fit perfectly with Richemont’s luxury aesthetic.

Our 24fps footage was colored and edited by Richemont’s European team for a PAL-based 25fps film, and so there seemed to be some unevenness in the audio quality that you typically wouldn’t hear.
